When a wedding venue doesn't include lodging, your guests must book their own rooms. This can be done through a hotel room block, a set of rooms reserved at a negotiated rate. Some blocks carry no risk since unbooked rooms will be released back to the hotel's inventory before the wedding. Others require a minimum fill rate, often 80 to 90 percent, leaving the couple on the hook for any shortfall.
The discount for booking a room block is typically modest, 10 to 25 percent off standard rates. In the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas, standard rates run from $170 to $300 per night before the peak wedding season premium. Even with a discount, that puts guests around $128 to $180 a night per room, with the venue still billed separately. For a 60-guest wedding, that's roughly 25 to 35 rooms for a three-night stay: $9,600 to $28,300 in lodging costs on top of the average cost of a wedding venue rental in the area.

Elegant Elite Estate and Grand Haven both price as a flat weekend package, regardless of headcount. These packages include three nights of on-site lodging for your entire group alongside full venue access. Grand Haven also has nearby properties that you can book to extend accommodation up to the venue’s full 60-guest capacity. With these wedding venues, your cost per person drops as your guest list grows.
Grand Sojourn works a little differently. Pricing is per tiny home with a 15-unit minimum, running $9,000 to $11,500 by season and day of the week. Each of the 37 units sleeps 2-4 guests, up to a capacity of over 120, so filling homes closer to capacity lowers your cost per person just like the flat-fee properties do.

Splitting Costs With Your Wedding Party
Once your wedding venue and lodging are bundled into one package price, you might consider collecting lodging contributions from guests, which can quickly become complicated.

- Music: A DJ typically runs $900–$1,200 for the evening. A live singer, by comparison, runs $200–$400 for the same window for savings of $500–$1,000 depending on which route you take.
- Catering: Full-service catering with on-site staff can run $1600–$2700 with server fees. Drop-off catering instead runs $15–$25 per person, totaling a difference of $100–$1800 for a 60-guest wedding. Every Ghosal property also has a fully stocked kitchen, so couples who want to cook some or all of the wedding weekend’s meals can bring costs down further.
- Bar service: A full-service bartending company runs $500–$900 for four hours, on top of alcohol costs. A DIY setup with a single hired bartender for pouring only runs closer to $200 for the same window. Our policy only requires a licensed, insured bartender if guests will be traveling to and from the venue during the event. If your entire group is staying on-site, that requirement (and its cost) goes away. Because our overnight capacity runs larger than most in the area, more qualify for these savings. With both options, you’re able to customize your own drink menu.
- Photography: Full-day photography estimates typically run $600-1500 compared to $2500 at traditional venues. Couples who don’t need a full day of coverage can save even more by booking hourly instead. Rates start at $350 for a single hour.
